Jared Valdez, Psy.D.

Jared Valdez, Psy.D., received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Health Psychology from Alliant International University in Los Angeles, CA, in 2023. He completed his predoctoral internship at Texas Tech University Health Science Center Department of Psychiatry and is currently a postdoctoral clinical psychology fellow with appointments at the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Center of Puget Sound and at the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Center of Hawaii.

Dr. Valdez has worked with patients across the life span to include pediatrics, teens, adults and geriatric patients. He also has experience working with individuals with bleeding disorders, active-duty military personnel, veterans, first responders and medical providers. His experience includes working with mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, dissociation, autism, bipolar, psychosis, OCD, substance use, eating disorders, grief & loss, chronic pain, stroke, dementia, oncology, and neurological disorders. Dr. Valdez takes a multicultural approach ensuring to provide a welcoming and respectful environment to anyone looking for therapy.

Dr. Valdez’s research has primarily focused on hormone deficiencies and their impact on mental health. Other areas of research include alternative therapeutic approaches to improve wellbeing, posttraumatic stress disorder and genetic components to OCD.

During his postdoctoral fellowship, Dr. Valdez’s clinical work is being supervised by Dr. Sean Ransom. Prior to his career in psychology, Dr. Valdez served with distinction as an enlisted service member in the U.S. military before being honorably discharged.
